The Enterprise Business Collaboration is a well-established and leading knowledge exchange platform connecting more than 200+ technology, business and communication professionals from international enterprises in order to:
- Provide insights into the latest and upcoming trends in enterprise collaboration
- Discover the technology behind a seamless collaboration and to
- Enable an international exchange of know-how with experts from the industrial spectrum.
As part of the event and presented by we.CONECT, the prestigious Enterprise Business Collaboration Award ceremony took place for the 5th time on the evening of November 19, 2018 at the Meliá Hotel in Berlin. The award has been established to honour leading and exceptional projects in the field of collaboration and knowledge sharing. Prior to the conference we.CONECT received a wealth of exciting project applications that were analysed and reviewed by our independent expert jury:
- Jan Vanoudendycke, Director Group Knowledge Management, Engie
- Ross Cavanaugh, Internal Collaboration Leader, Wells Fargo & Company
- Söhnke Grams, Managing Director of the IBM University Competence Center for Collaboration Technologies, University of Koblenz-Landau
Based on their experience, knowledge and expertise in the field, they evaluated applications in each of the following categories.
- Best Knowledge Sharing Infrastructure
- Best Collaboration Infrastructure
- Best Rollout and Implementation of Collaboration Solutions
The final winners were then voted live by the audience based on the project videos that were shown during the ceremony.
Winner of the Enterprise Business Collaboration award 2018 in the category ‘Best Knowledge Sharing Infrastructure’ was Lloyds Banking Group with their “Collaboration Programme and Hive platform”, introducing new, company culture changing ways of working. The second place went to DPDHL Group with their project ‘myVideo-Business Value meets Fun’ and the third place was shared by DEG and Siemens AG – #iDea Company.
Winner of the Enterprise Business Collaboration award 2018 in the category ‘Best Collaboration Infrastructure’ was Merck KGaA, who transformed their social intranet to a digital workplace, integrating and putting their whole toolkit into context with their program ‘EVA’. The second place went to ICARDA with their project ‘MEL – Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning’ and the third place was awarded to Lloyds Banking Group.
The first place in the category ‘Best Rollout and Implementation of Collaboration Solutions’ went to OMD and their project ‘ACT.FAST.’, moving its leaders and influencers from 45 markets onto teams. Puls GmbH became second place with their project on making their working life’s more efficient with Social Collaboration and the third place was awarded to Apollo-Optik Holding GmbH & Co. KG.
The award winners did not only receive a trophy and certificate proving their excellence, but also donated 1,000 € on behalf of we.CONECT to support a charity. This year, the Animal Shelter Berlin was chosen, which has more than 1.500 animals waiting for a new home. The “Tierschutzverein für Berlin und Umgebung Corporation e.V.” (The Animal Protection Association for Berlin and the Surrounding Area) is supporting the animal shelter, which is only financed through private donations and the membership fees contributed by about 15.000 members. The Berlin Senate is not involved in the maintenance costs.
